Timeframes
Typically, a one-subject painting takes around one to two weeks to complete once started, while a two-subject piece may need three weeks, but please understand that these are approximate timeframes and not guarantees. For larger, more intricate artworks, I’m happy to provide additional turnaround details—just reach out for more info.
Deposits & Payments
To secure your commission space, a 50% deposit is required. The deposit is non-refundable as it covers material costs and you are booking a space in my calendar that could be used by someone else.
I accept bank transfer, Paypal and Credit Cards (a 2.49% surcharge applies).
Final payment is due 7 business days after confirmation of completion of the artwork.
Reference Photos & Copyright
I won't use any photos without your permission or photos that aren't rightfully yours.
I hold full copyright of all the portraits I create. That means they can't be reproduced in any way without my written permission. I understand how personal these portraits are to each client, so I promise not to duplicate them in any form.
Once the portraits are finished, I love showcasing them on my website and social media and sometimes I use them for marketing purposes. However, if you're not comfortable with your portrait being displayed on my website or used for any marketing, just give me a heads up, and I'll make sure to respect your privacy. If you'd like to share the artwork on your social media, simply do so using links from my official sources.
Shipping
Within New Zealand, courier of the final artwork can be arranged if required, but I can't assume liability for any loss, theft, or damage during transit. Please contact me if there are any issues with shipping or to report damage to the artwork.
Returns & Refunds
The 50% deposit is non-refundable as it covers material costs and you are booking a space in my calendar that could be used by someone else. Original artwork due to being created according to customer specifications is non-refundable and non-returnable.
If a personalized artwork gets damaged or lost during shipping, I will not offer a refund however, I will replace the artwork with a new artwork that resembles the original version as closely as possible.
